Today all the masks have fallen from those who are involved. Unfortunately there is no clergy or businessmen known who is not involved in the kidnapping and murder and incitement. They are playing the game cautiously; one party hits, the other mediates and others play the rule of national party. However, a major slip has revealed their real identities, which have forced them to release hostages fearing exposure of their role. What’s important now is that we got back numbers of hostages in the last few hours and they have given others names for us. Homs needs to retain the state power. What hurts me most is this slowness “that is very close to a conspiracy” in implementing our agendas of surrounding the city, and closuring the crossings and barriers, which means our political efforts have gone down the drain.
I hope you will be issuing a memorandum to officials asking them to accelerate their work under penalty of accountability. I will be in Damascus tomorrow to meet the doctor and Michael.
