In a special interview with Al Arabiya, the Chairman of the International Commission of Inquiry for Syria, Paulo Pinheiro discussed Kofi Annan’s six-point plan, along with a non-descript mention of the list of those wanted for crimes against humanity, and the continuing steps being taken against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. He also spoke of investigations to be conducted and the implications of transparency and accountability upon drawing results from these investigations. Pinheiro also elaborated on the impact of militarizing the conflict in Syria, and hopes that international intervention will never be implemented.
