After a surprising win against Australia, Jordan’s national football team will start training early October to be ready to meet its Omani and Qatari counterparts in the fifth round for the Asian qualifiers of the 2014 World Cup, reported Kooora sports news site.
Jordan will play against Qatar in Doha on October 8 and will face Oman in Muscat on October 16.
Iraqi Adnan Hamad, Jordan’s national team coach, however will announce the list of the players named for the fifth round.
Meanwhile, Jordan and Qatar also agreed to play a friendly match in Doha, Osama Talal, Jordan’s team manager, said.
On Tuesday, Jordan beat Australia 2-1 to rise by four points and climb second to be behind Japan.
