On an almost cloudy day, we travelled for 45 minutes by sea from the Italian city of Napoli to the island of Capri located at the gulf of Napoli. Capri, the dream island as described by its admirers, is known for its beauty and legends.
"You encounter a lot of Palestinians and Arabs here. As you know, we Palestinians are displaced due to the occupation of our country; therefore, wherever we go we meet Palestinians. We have spent a beautiful day in Capri," a tourist said.
Ever since it became one of the places of exile of King Farouk, Capri has become one of the favorite destinations of Arab tourists.
3,000 persons live in this stunning island and work in professions related to tourism since there are countless hotels and residences of stars. As for the shopping, it occupies a large part of the activities here, starting from traditional souvenirs shops to international brands boutiques.
In the streets of Capri, you can hear numerous stories about rich Arabs who came here in the past and created living conditions to which the inhabitants adapted.
