Hamas's armed Brigade Ezzedine al-Qassam warned Israel on Tuesday that a ground invasion of Gaza will be costly to its armed forces.
In a statement read by Commander Mohammed Eddeef (Abu Khaled), the military brigade said its leadership was holding “permanent meeting..
“The enemy committed a folly and a bad mistake on the tactical and strategic levels by assassinating major commander Abu Mohammed, and committed a bigger mistake in under-estimating the response of the resistance groups.”
The statement was accompanied by footage showing the targeting of a tank using guided rockets, in a signal that the Islamist group now has advanced weapons.
The statement also came as Israel deployed thousands of reservists, tanks and artillery on the border with Gaza in the seventh day of the armed conflict.
