US-led anti-ISIS coalition acknowledges 10 more civilian deaths

The US-led coalition fighting the IS group in Syria and Iraq acknowledged Thursday the deaths of another 10 civilians, increasing the overall toll of non-fighters killed to at least 841.The coalition said in a statement that it had completed a review in January of 116 reports of potential civilian casualties from air and artillery strikes, of which all but four were deemed to be duplicates or not credible.These four incidents occurred in Syria between October 2016 and November 2017.In one ...

Iraq has handed over to Russia four women and 27 children suspected of having ties to the ISIS group, local television broadcaster Al-Sumaria quoted the foreign ministry as saying on Thursday. “Iraq has returned to Russia 27 children and four women who were tricked into joining Daesh,” the ministry spokesman told reporters, using the Arabic acronym for ISIS.

Saudi’s General Security division announced that soldier rank positions will be available for Saudi women in different regions including Riyadh, Mecca, al-Qusaim and al-Madina. The conditions to apply include that the woman has to be of Saudi origin and to have been brought up in the kingdom, with the exception of women who lived with their fathers abroad due to a government-related responsibility.
