Bahrain’s FM helps Zarif see hypocrisy concerning tweets on ‘blind’ US diplomats
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has responded to his Iranian counterpart’s recent tweets about “blind” American diplomats by using an old photo of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
On Monday, Mohammad Javad Zarifshared a photo of US National Security Adviser John Bolton during a recent visit to Israel wearing virtual reality glasses saying that “in the valley of the blind, even those with VR glasses are still blind”.
The Bahraini foreign minister then responded to Zarif’s tweet with a photo of Ahmadinejad wearing protective glasses while visiting an exhibition of Iran laser science and technology in Tehran in 2010 and said: “Mr Zariaf , this picture says a million words or about blindness ; but about decades of ill intentions, hegemonic aims and misrepresentation of a proud nation . Iran is one thing and you guys are another.”
