Samir Geagea: What is happening in eastern Ghouta is a disgrace
The head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, said that “what is happening in eastern Ghouta is a disgrace to all mankind. Whatever the reasons, arguments or excuses, nothing justifies the killing of innocent civilians,” he said.
“Nothing justifies the killing of innocent civilians with heavy weapons, even if this is a war on terror. No terrorism is worse than what is happening in eastern Ghouta,” he added.
Geagea said in a statement that “ words are not useful anymore and the crying and the wailing does not save one child. The only solution is for the international community to launch a military intervention to stop the killing of civilians in eastern Ghouta.”
"Five days of air strikes and intense artillery fired by the regime and its Russian ally have killed 403 civilians, including 95 children," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
