Gary Dugan, has been the Chief Investment Officer of Global Private Banking and Head of Investment Strategy at National Bank of Abu Dhabi PJSC and National Bank of Abu Dhabi PJSC, Asset Management Arm since June 2014. Mr. Dugan has over 30 years of extensive and broad experience in providing investment advice and market views across different regions. He has worked across discretionary and advisory businesses during which time he has established himself as an industry thought leader. At NBAD he is responsible for establishing and the investment views of the bank and overseeing the strategic and tactical of client portfolios across NBAD. He heads the advisory and discretionary portfolio management teams.

Prior to joining NBAD from 2012-14 Mr. Dugan served as the Chief Investment Officer of Asia and The Middle East at Coutts & Co. based in Singapore. He managed a team that provided clients with investment research and portfolio management services.He managed the equity, currency, hedge fund and commodity research for Coutts globally. Prior to this, Mr. Dugan served as the Chief Investment Officer of Private Banking Division at Emirates NBD Bank PJSC based in Dubai from 2009-12 and was in charge of the overall investment policy of the private banking division and led a core team that provides strategic and tactical asset allocation advice to private banking clients for investments across several asset classes. He was responsible for establishing economic and market views of Emirates NBD's private banking.

Mr. Dugan served as the Chief Investment Officer of Global Private Client for EMEA at BofA Merrill Lynch (formerly Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc.) from 2007 to 2009 where he made a call to sell markets in august 2007 and buy in March 2009. From 2004-2007 he served as a Managing Director and Head of Research and Investment Strategy at Barclays Wealth Management.. At Barclays Wealth, Mr. Dugan was responsible for restructuring a variety of investment products and businesses. During his time with Barclays, he grew the multi-manager product to become the largest in the UK and second largest in Europe. Mr. Dugan served as Global Equity Strategist and Head of the Global Balanced Department of JP Morgan Fleming Investment Management. He also served as an European equity market strategist at JP Morgan Chase & Co, Research Division. He held many other senior investment positions at Baring Securities, as well as several other institutions. Mr. Dugan served as a Director of Barclays Portfolios Public Limited Company until March 2007. He is holds ASIP designation and is a Member of the CFA Institute. Mr. Dugan has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Salford University.
