Monica Kapila was born and brought up in London but moved to Dubai with her family in April 2006. She started her working life at Price Waterhouse Coopers Management Consultancy after doing a MSc at the London School of Economics, she then helped run a marketing research studio part time while raising the family and also travelled to Mumbai and Kenya for two years with her husband. Eventually the blog DoinDubai was born and has recently taken centre stage in her life as young children head to off to university! Monica has a wide network of media, pr and entrepreneur contacts and is continually astounded at what her Imac can do if she bothers to investigate properly. She loves making imovies, exploring graphic apps and writing restaurant posts that don’t only focus on food! She is currently very involved with exploring Affiliate Schemes in the GCC and London for use on her blog. It’s main categories are Travelling, Eating and Living. She also writes for Travel Arabia and Gulf Business and has a regular slot talking about the latest Restaurant Openings on Dubai Eye 103.8 radio station.
