Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency denies any hacking of its systems

The Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency has denied recent claims that its internal systems were subjected to any cyber hacking during the past week.

“Referring to a recent report carried by Bloomberg News, we can confirm that our systems had not been breached and that it we are continuously surveilling against cyber threats,” officials said in a statement published on Saudi Press Agency.

Bloomberg reported that Iran-sponsored hackers unleashed a digital bomb in parts of Saudi Arabia’s networks over the last two weeks which damaged systems at the country’s central bank.
