The World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa (WEF) is set to enable dialogue about several regional challenges with the theme of an Arab fourth industrial revolution.

The forum, kicking off on Saturday in Jordan’s Dead Sea region, will convene over 1,000 key leaders from government, business, and civil society, attempting to enable collaboration on the most pressing challenges facing the Arab World.

The meeting aims to provide a collaborative platform for generating progress on the regional agenda for inclusive growth, social advancement, and sustainable development.

Around a month before the meeting, the Forum announced that it is collaborating with Bahrain Economic Development Board to find 100 promising Arab startups for its fourth industrial revolution theme.

Leaders from Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the Levant and North Africa, as well as key international stakeholders from the United States, Europe, East Africa, and other regions, will address the transformational imperatives facing the region.

The forum will focus on the Arab World’s sustainability agenda, unlock action-oriented dialogue related to the future of economic progress, scale its efforts to support entrepreneurship and innovation in the region, and host the World Economic Forum Gathering of World Leaders on Peace and Reconciliation.

The WEF will take place at the King Hussein bin Talal convention center in the Dead Sea region in Jordan on April 6-7.
