Video: Assad unable to stand still during prayer

A video purported to be showing Syrian leader President Bashar al-Assad at a mosque suggests he is unable to stand still during the Islamic prayer, swaying side to side and back and forth.

Assad was seen in one of the main mosques in Damascus during a prayer marking the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad on Sunday evening, Arabic website Al Arabiya News reported.

During the prayer, Mufti Ahmad Badr al-Din Hassoun is seen to the left of Assad, and Minister of Awqaf Mohammed Abdul Sattar to his right. It is, however, unclear why the Syrian president was unable to stand still.
