A café in Dubai has recently unveiled what may be the most expensive ice cream in the world, costing Dhs3,000 or $817.

The  “Black Diamond” treat at Scoopi Café is bidding to set a world record for  the most expensive ice-cream scoop, according to local media.

The scoop is a mix of high-price ingredients with 23-carat edible gold sprinkled on top.

It is made of Madagascar vanilla ice cream, along with the an expensive Iranian saffron and is decorated with slices of black Italian truffle.

It took the café five weeks to create the pricy mix, according to media reports. The decadent dessert is served in a Versace bowl and with a Versace spoon, both of which can be kept by the customer.

The newly opened outlet is located at Jumeirah Beach Road, Dubai. (courtesy: Scoopi)
