Kuwait expels drug-addicted monkey to his home in Indonesia
The General Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries in Kuwait deported a ‘drug-addict’ monkey to its home country Indonesia, after receiving a year's drug treatment and rehabilitation.
The monkey was taken into care a year ago when his owner was arrested. The authorities revealed that the owner who turned the monkey into a drug addict.
Some Kuwaitis commented on the news saying: “Strange. They are taking care of the monkey; while there are other people need to be treated abroad but they did not have it, but the monkey they are paying so much attention for him.”
“The first thing came to my mind, is that the monkey is banana addict, but it is great it was arrested, taken care of, and deported."
“If this is how the monkey was treated, what about his owner?!”
“They treated the monkey so nice, giving him treatment, gifts and toys …. I do not know, no comment!”
