One of the terrorists who attacked London last week has been revealed as a former acolyte of Anjem Choudary. This is hardly surprising. Choudary has been at the heart of Britain’s radical Islamist scene up until he was imprisoned for encouraging support for ISIS last yeat. But how did Choudary find himself with so much power and influence over the minds of so many young Muslims? And how did any of them get to the point of committing terror attacks?
The tragic fact is that the media has made Choudary what he is today. And in doing so, they have done more to help promote militancy in Britain than most other forces that conspire against our safetyDr. Azeem Ibrahim
