In the Iraqi file, the Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir called upon taking a position against the armed militias in Iraq, since their practices are causing sectarian conflicts. During a meeting with the reporters at the end of the visit of the Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Paris, the Saudi Foreign Minister called upon dismantling the popular mobilization militia in Iraq, and accused these militias affiliated with Iran of inflaming the sectarian tension in Iraq. Al-Jubeir also repeated his call for the formation of an Iraqi government, which includes all the groups and factions in the country, and called on Iran to stop its hostile approach towards Saudi Arabia, accusing Tehran of causing unrest in the region. For Lebanon, Al-Jubeir considered that Iran and Hezbollah are preventing the election of a president of the country, adding that keeping Lebanon in a state of instability is in favor of Hezbollah.
