Erdogan to Al Arabiya : We need GCC support to achieve regional stability

Published: Updated:

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is adamant that his country, Saudi Arabia and the international coalition forces should work together on fighting ISIS terror in the Middle East.

In an interview with Al Arabiya General Manager, Turki AlDakhil, that will be fully aired later this week, Erdogan said that Assad’s regime has killed no less than one million people since the begining of the Syrian conflict.

Erdogan said that he informed newly-elected US President Donald Trump, that beating ISIS will come through cleansing Al-Raqqa, which is the group’s main stronghold.

The Turkish President said that he does not consider the Muslim Brotherhood group to be a terrorist group, adding that Turkey would treat the group as a terrorist in case the Brotherhood carries out armed attacks.
