A video that was circulated recently showed the commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Qassem Soleimani, on the battle fronts in the city of Aleppo in Syria, a week after the eruption and escalation of the clashes.
According to the video that was aired by al-Najba’a movement that is affiliated to the Iraqi militia of Ahl-al-Haq, Soleimani was inspecting the military units in Aleppo; the video did not show the date of his visit; it only mentioned that the commander of the Quds Forces was in Aleppo.
Al-Najba’a movement had previously admitted that Iran has sent many of its fighters to the battles in Iraq.

According to Iranian agencies, Soleimani led in Iraq the battles of Jarf al-Sakhr (North Babylon), Amerli in Salahuddin province and the battle of Fallujah. His presence was not only limited to counseling, as Tehran has recently revealed that he has led the militias of the Popular Crowd in the west of Mosul under the request of the Iraqi government.
According to the statements of the leaders, the militias are getting ready to move to Syria after their battles in Mosul, upon the call of the Assad regime.
