Saudi King Salman sent a congratulatory cable to the US President Donald Trump, as he was sworn in, to assume the office of the president.
In the cable, the King expressed, in his own name and on behalf the Saudi people as well as the government, congratulations and wishes for abundant health and happiness to the president and steady progress and prosperity for the friendly people of the US.
He hailed the well-established historical close ties binding the two friendly countries, and reaffirmed keenness to enhance and consolidate them, in all fields, in accordance with a comprehensive strategic vision, that would best serve the mutual interests of the two countries and peoples, as well.
