Police in Saudi Arabia’s city of Jeddah arrested two African men on Wednesday morning who had attacked a police officer on the corniche on Tuesday.

They appeared in a video, showing one of them hitting a passenger that was with the police officer in a car, and the other attacking the police officer with his four-wheel buggy.

Both were interrogated and plead guilty to the assault.

A video recording of the assault circulated on social media and was met with anger from local residents. Citizens urged the authorities to take immediate actions against the aggressors.

In the first part of the video, several men are seen driving four-wheel buggies and repeatedly try to hit the police officer.

When one of the buggy drivers ran into the policeman; the car flipped in the air before hitting the ground.

He was able to escape the car but was surprised by another buggy driver to run him over again.
