Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received on Wednesday evening a telephone call from US President Donald Trump, during which they took stock of the latest regional and global issues and developments.
According to the UAE’s official news agency, Wam, the two leaders discussed joint efforts to counter extremism and terrorism, and to address security challenges in the region.
While they exchanged views on these issues, the two sides affirmed their commitment to strengthening pillars of peace and stability in the region, the statement said. They also explored ways to boost UAE-US ties of friendship and cooperation.
