Saudi forces thwarted Houthis’ attacks near the border town of Najran on Tuesday, Al Arabiya’s correspondent reported.
According to military sources, Saudi forces thwarted the attacks by Houthi militias and forces loyal to ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh at dawn by shelling their hideouts in mountainous areas.
Saudi special troops also targeted Houthi snipers who tried to station themselves in front of the Saudi al-Sharfa and Suqam posts.
Meanwhile, the coalition air force shelled some Houthi barricades which rebels used to launch their operations and store ammunition.
Some sources said that four military vehicles which were transporting Houthis towards Saudi borders were destroyed while 20 Houthis were killed and dozens fled to random Yemeni towns as a result of thwarting the attacks.
