Social media users circulated a video that documents the arrest of young Saudi Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud after the king ordered detaining him and others for their involvement in abusive behavior toward citizens who included women.
In the video, the prince was seen with two policemen who escorted him out of a car while handcuffed and led him into a neighboring building.
The Riyadh Police arrested the prince earlier on Thursday, few hours after an order from the king.
In 2016, Saudi Prince Turki bin Saud al-Kabir was executed after he was found guilty of murdering a young Saudi man following a group fight in al-Thumama region in the outskirts of Riyadh three years earlier.
Twitter users circulated an old video of King Salman in which he confirmed to officials that citizens’ right was more important than the king’s.
