US President Donald Trump received on Friday the Saudi ambassador to the United States, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who handed over his credentials as an ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the US.
During the meeting, Prince Khalid communicated greetings from King Salman and the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the US president and extended their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the American people.
The newly assigned Saudi Ambassador also described the Saudi-US relations as historical, strategic and based on close cooperation and mutual interests.
He also expressed his keenness to exert all efforts to increase ties of friendship and enhance cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Prince Khalid expressed his hope that the strategic relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States will contribute to serve the interests and common issues binding the two countries to overcome the challenges on both the regional and international levels.
