A woman who disguised herself as a nurse kidnapped a newborn from King Khaled Hospital in Kharj after deceiving the mother and telling her the doctor needed to take a blood sample.
The woman took the infant, put him in a bag and walked out.
Security footage obtained by Al Arabiya showed the kidnapper wearing a nurse uniform underneath her abaya and carrying a white bag with the baby inside before getting into the elevator.
Security forces found the newborn, who is 5 days old, less than 24 hours after he was abducted. Riyadh police said they found him in a mosque in Kharj, adding that they identified the kidnapper.
