Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said on Tuesday that “it is not harmful if the Qatar crisis continues for two more years,” stressing that “the people of Qatar are the ones who decides who governs.”
Meanwhile, with regards to Yemen, Jubeir said that the war “was not chosen but imposed on us,” pointing out that “Sanaa airport can be reopened if the United Nations took over.”
He stated that “Iran is destabilizing the region through Hezbollah and terrorist attacks.” He also said that “the Iranian foreign minister's statements about reconciliation are ridiculous.”
The Saudi minister pointed out that “if Iran wants to improve its relationship with Saudi Arabia to stop terrorism and interventions,” noting that “the leaders of al-Qaeda in Iran gave orders to carry out attacks in Saudi Arabia.”
“We do not see any seriousness from Iran in dialogue and diplomatic cooperation,” Jubeir stressed.
