King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud met at his palace in Riyadh on Wednesday with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates.
Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Crown Prince and Minister of Defense, also attended the meeting.
At the outset of the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed conveyed the greetings of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to King Salman, wishing the Kingdom steady progress and prosperity, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA)
In turn, the King sent his greetings to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, wishing him continuous health and the leadership and people of the UAE steady progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, they reviewed the fraternal ties binding the two countries, opportunities of continuing to boost them in all fields, in addition to the developments in the region, as well as the bilateral and regional and international efforts towards these issues, particularly the developments in the Palestinian arena as regards Al-Quds issue.
Grave repercussions
The meeting viewed the grave repercussions emanating from the US negative decision recognizing Al-Quds as the capital of Israel and relocating the US embassy there, the mechanisms of coordinating these matters to protect the historic and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people in Al-Quds, and proceeding with the efforts to find a fair and durable solution to the Palestinian cause, according to the relevant international resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the efforts being exerted to defeat the Iranian militias as well as the aggressive and terrorist armed organizations which threaten the Yemeni people and the regional and international security and stability.
The meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, and Member of the Cabinet, and Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance.
On the UAE side, the meeting was attended by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Premier and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al-Shamsi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, UAE ambassador to the Kingdom; Ahmed Al-Mazrooe, Secretary General for the Executive Council; and Khaldoon Al-Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Council.
