The statistics released by the Yemeni army, Friday, stated that at least 100 members of the Houthi militia were killed in clashes that took place in Kataf Al Baq’e front in the province of Saada, their main stronghold north of the country, within a week.
The numbers confirmed that four field commanders were among the dead Houthis.
The Yemeni army found the bodies of three of them, in addition to the injury and the capture of dozens in fierce battles in Kataf Al Baq’e front in the province of Saada.
The dead Houthi field commanders found are: Mohammed Hassan Oufan, Saleh Mohammed Saad al-Rubai, Salahuddin Muhammad Nasser Ceylan.
The official news site of the Yemeni army stated that the Houthi militia suffered large losses in periodic clashes renewed from time to time since last Friday at Ktaf Al Baq’e.
Yemen’s army captured as well 34 members of the Houthi militia during a week of confrontations in their stronghold in Saada.
According to statistics, the Yemeni army destroyed at the same time more than 10 military vehicles, five units of armed machinery, a medium arms truck, and recovered an arsenal of weapons.
The Yemeni army has made significant progress in recent days in battles with the Houthis in their stronghold in Saada.
The army gained full control over a number of mountains, highlands and strategic hills, established full control of Ktaf Al Baq’e and secured the link between the provinces of Jouf and Saada, which connects Yemen with Saudi Arabia, while it continues to advance towards the center of Ktaf.
