King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud patronized the closing ceremony of King Abdulaziz Camel Festival this year at Saudi Village for Camels, in Southern Sayahid, Riyadh.
Upon arrival at the venue, the King was received by Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Defense, and General Supervisor of the Camel Club, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, Acting Secretary General of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives and General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Sammari, and a number of officials.
The King inaugurated the King Abdulaziz Camel Race Field, whose length runs 8 kilometers, and includes seven tracks, which can accommodate 100 camels and 200 cars.
The King and the audience watched a camel race for the last two rounds.
Then King Salman then handed over to the winners of the first place the Awards of King Abdulaziz for Camel Pageantry and King Abdulaziz Camel Race.
At the closing ceremony of the festival, King Salman showed his enthusiasm for the Saudi folkloric ‘Ardha’ and requested a sword to participate in the show.
The King and the audience also watched a camel pageant.
