Kuwaiti dies after losing balance due to severe cough, falls from fifth floor
A Kuwaiti citizen died after falling from his apartment balcony on the fifth floor due to a severe coughing episode causing him to lose his balance.
According to al-Rai newspaper, the ministry of interior received a call on the incident, and sent security officers and an emergency medical team to the location. The medical team examined him and announced him dead due to the hard impact of the fall.
Criminal evidence was gathered and after the body was examined by public prosecution, it was referred to forensics.
“The family of the deceased told security that their son was coughing strongly while on the balcony of his room and lost balance which caused him to fall to the ground,” the newspaper quoted a security source as saying. “When they went down to check on him, he did not move so they called the interior ministry and ambulance.”
The source added that the death which happened in the al-Sulaibikhat area was referred to detectives and is being investigated in order to follow legal procedures.
