This was the youngest Houthi militia soldier in Yemen

Published: Updated:

The Houthi militia in Yemen continue to recruit children in their fighting lines despite international condemnation and registered breaking of human right laws.

Most of these children, as a result of their age, end up dead.

The youngest victim amongst the chain of little recruits is Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed Abdullah Saber, 13.

The Houthi militia took Saber without his parents’ knowledge. The fresh-teenager was taken to the Saudi border, specifically Jizan, where he took his last breath.

Saber’s father said that the militia took his son with his knowledge and was returned to him a lifeless body. Saber was a fifth grade student in primary school.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council unanimously issued on Thursday a presidential statement calling on the Houthis to stop their crimes against civilians in Yemen. One of which is child recruitment.
