Saudi Arabia’s air defenses destroyed on Wednesday evening a missile fired by the Houthi militia from Yemeni territory towards the southwestern province of Jazan.

Col. Turki al-Maliki, the spokesperson of the Arab coalition fighting to support legitimacy in Yemen, said that the coalition worked to facilitate the entry of aid from all Yemeni ports, and also targeted on Wednesday factories manufacturing booby traps for militias in Hodeidah.

Maliki welcomed the international condemnation of the Houthis who were trying to target navigation, as well as the number of incidents of ballistic missile fire.

He said the Houthi militias had fired 107 rockets and more than 66,000 extruders, but the air defense system had proved effective in countering the militia rockets. “We have the initiative on land, air and sea, and we are working to secure navigation in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the waters of the Red Sea,” he added.
