Saudi Prince Khalid bin Salman says Houthi militia ‘determined to escalate war’
Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the US, Prince Khalid bin Salman, said on Thursday that the Iran-backed Houthi militia in Yemen is determined to escalate the war and prolong the suffering of the Yemeni people.
The prince also condemned the Houthi attack on a Saudi oil tanker in the Yemeni port of Hodeidah which happened earlier this week.
He added that this kind of attack on a key navigation port is a blatant disregard for international laws.
The Iranian backed Houthi Militia latest terrorist attack on a commercial oil tanker in one of the world's busiest shipping routes is a demonstration of their disregard for international laws and determination to escalate the war and prolonging the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The Saudi oil tankers was attacked in international waters west of the Hodeidah port, currently controlled by Houthi armed militias supported by Iran.
The planned attacked was foiled after an Arab Coalition naval ship intervened. The attack resulted in some minor damages to the tanker which completed its navigational course north accompanied by the coalition’s naval ship.
