Saudi Arabia’s air defenses said that they have intercepted a ballistic missile fired by Houthi militias in Yemen targeting the border city of Najran.
Hours earlier, Arab coalition spokesman Col. Turki al-Maliki said that Houthis in Yemen fired a total of 119 ballistic missiles targeting Saudi Arabia so far, warning of a “painful” military response if the militants mounted any new attacks.
Najran, a Saudi border city with Yemen, has come under constant fire from Houthi ballistic missiles, causing human and material losses since the conflict began.
On Sunday evening, the air defense system of the Arab alliance intercepted two ballistic missiles fired by the Houthi militias toward the Yemeni western coastal city of al-Mokha.
