United Arab Emirates Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said that Qatar’s crisis with its neighbors could only be solved within the gulf and not through outside help.
In a tweet posted on Tuesday, Gargash urged Qatar to come to its senses and deal directly with the demands of its neighbors.
“A sincere advice aimed at Qatar to exit from its crisis: There will be no non-Gulf mediation, no pressure will work and media will change your situation. Your crisis is continuing and you have come to terms with wisdom and negotiate in the context of your neighbors’ demands which reflect real concerns,” Gargash tweeted.
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE and Egypt have urged that Qatar address and comply with a 13-point list of demands and stop its support and sponsor of terror groups and terror financing.
