UAE puts nine Iranian entities, individuals on terrorism list

The United Arab Emirates listed on Thursday nine Iranian entities and individuals on the terrorism list for transferring funds to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

According to the statement published by WAM, the Cabinet issued Ministerial Resolution No. 24 of 2018, which included the nine entities and individuals supporting terrorism.

Individuals and entities were listed as having bought and transferred millions of dollars to the Quds Force of the IRGC and its agents to finance activities to destabilize the region by concealing the purpose for which the dollars were obtained.

Iranian entities and individuals were included in the list as a result of close cooperation between the UAE and the United States of America, which included the same individuals and entities on their list.

US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin praised the efforts of the UAE and its close cooperation in this regard, stressing that all countries of the world should be aware of Iran's efforts to exploit the financial institutions of other countries to exchange currencies and finance terrorist organizations which are active under the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
