Sheikh Sultan bin Suhaim has slammed Qatar in a series of tweets on Wednesday for taking sides by the Iranian regime against Doha's relations with Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait.
“Shame on us as Qataris where a day comes during which the regime of the two Hamad regime defend the Persian… and against whom? Against the Saudi, Emirati, Bahraini and Kuwaiti brothers. If this is not shame, then what is it? !!!” he tweeted.
Sheikh Sultan is referring to both former Qatar Emir Hamad bin Khalifa and Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber, Qatar’s former foreign and prime minister.
He addede in another tweet: “While the honest and courageous Arabs meet to liberate Hodeidah from the clutches of the Houthi coup, the traitorous regime revealing its fangs of treason to ally itself with the Iranian agent. What is the worst of days on the nobel Qataris”.
Sheikh Sultan became one of the first to publicly oppose from the current ruling family led by Emir Tamim bin Hamad when several countries decided to sever ties with Qatar over its support and financing of terrorist groups.
