UAE’s Gargash: Saudi oil tankers’ attack reinforces need to liberate Hodeidah
UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash, stressed on Thursday on the need to liberate Hodeidah after Houthi militias attacked two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea on Wednesday.
Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis attacked two of Saudi Arabia’s giant crude carriers off Yemen’s coast on causing slight damage.
In a tweet, Gargash said it was necessary to liberate Hodeidah, the only Yemeni port controlled by Houthi militias, following the “terror act.”
“The targeting of two Saudi crude oil carriers in the Red Sea ensures the necessity of liberating Hodeidah from Houthi militias, those systematic attacks on maritime navigation is an act of terror and reflects the Houthi’s aggressive nature,” he tweeted.
In regards to the Iranian file, minister Gargash said: “We have concerns regarding the differences in the points of views between Europe and America regarding Iran.”
