Coalition: Houthis hindering ship movements at Hodeidah port

Published: Updated:

The coalition backing the Yemeni government said that the Houthi militias are hindering the movement of maritime navigation at Hodeidah port.

The coalition added that the mismanagement of Hodeidah port by the Houthis would cause an environmental disaster that would prevent aid from reaching the western district. They also noted that that the disruption of the entry of food through the port would increase the suffering of the Yemenis.

On Monday, the coalition said that a ship collided with the canal as it entered the port of Hodeidah.

Coalition Spokesman Turki al-Maliki said earlier at a press conference in Riyadh that the coalition will continue efforts to secure navigation in the Red Sea.
