Houthi militias in Hodeidah forced the residents of neighborhoods that are close to confrontations lines in the south and east of the city to evacuate their homes immediately.

Local sources said the militias turned some buildings and houses into military posts and deployed hundreds of snipers.

The Houthis also deployed military and armored vehicles and set artilleries in all neighborhoods.

Army sources said the militias are also using citizens as human shields and shelling some army posts in the city’s southern and eastern outskirts using the mortar from inside residential neighborhoods in the city’s center.

Meanwhile, the coalition jets dropped leaflets to the citizens of Zabid and Al Hussainia in Hodeidah and confirmed that it will resume liberating these areas and called on the residents there not to support the militias in their losing war.

The coalition air force also launched airstrikes on Houthi posts in Ad Durayhimi District and in the northern side of Kilo 16. The strikes destroyed Houthi vehicles east of Ad Durayhimi.
