King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia received a phone call from the United States president, Donald Trump, on Monday.
In the phone call, the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed recent events in the region.
President Trump also complimented the Saudi-Turkish cooperation in the ongoing investigation around the disappearance of the Saudi national Jamal Khashoggi, and the Saudi leadership’s keenness on providing all facts related to the case.
While the US ministry of state had announced Mike Pompeo’s trip to Riyadh to meet Saudi officials, Saudi-Turkish investigative team started its work in the Saudi embassy in Istanbul.
