Saudi ambassador applauds Swiss foreign ministry statement regarding Khashoggi

Published: Updated:

The appointed Saudi ambassador to the Swiss Confederation Prince Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed his appreciation of the statement that was delivered by the Swiss Foreign Ministry spokeswoman for the Office of Economic Relations in response to a question at a press conference on the case of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The statement articulated the concern of the Swiss Foreign Ministry and its hopes to get more explanation on Khashoggi’s fate.

Prince Mansour considered the statement balanced, and abides by diplomatic traditions that are not dragged behind false accusations or exploited by some to strike at the historical relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Western countries.

Prince Mansour also highlighted his concerns regarding the uncanny endeavors by some parties, entities and countries well known to the world for their support of terrorism and hostility towards Saudi Arabia.

Prince Mansour expressed his admiration of the Swiss statement, which showed respect for the sovereignty of countries that are always considered by the Swiss side in this regard. He stressed that “we all should wait, hold our horses” until the investigations’ outcomes are released to the public from an official authority.
