Putin: We won’t spoil relations with Saudi Arabia unless we have hard facts

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Moscow won’t spoil relations with Saudi Arabia without hard facts.

Putin was replying to a question relating to Saudi citizen and journalist Jamal Khashoggi who disappeared in Istanbul, Turkey, on October 2.

In a discussion forum in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, Putin said it was a pity that the journalist had gone missing, adding that Russia would wait for details, according to Reuters.

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump took the same position, criticizing accusations and conclusions surrounding the case of Khashoggi, warning of a rush to judgment and echoing the Saudis’ request for patience. Full story
