Heavy rains in Kuwait killed one man and cut the electricity in several areas on Friday night.
Schools, government offices and financial institutions in Kuwait were forced to close down earlier this week due to bad weather the Gulf country has been experiencing.
Authorities have warned citizens and residents, especially motor-cyclists, from leaving their houses, saying that the bad weather is expected to stay until tomorrow.
Kuwaiti minister of public works, Hossam Abdullah al-Roumi, resigned over flood crisis on Friday, according to state news agancy KUNA.
In his resignation, Roumi expressed his “utmost regret” over the damages of citizens’ and residents’ properties and belongings following heavy rains on the country.
