UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash reiterated the support of United Arab Emirates for Saudi Arabia, confirming on Saturday that the kingdom’s stability is essential for the UAE and the whole region.
In a tweet he said: “The new round of targeting the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leadership will not succeed,” adding that Saudi Arabia’s stability is essential for the region and its future.
Gargash said that it is important that Riyadh continues to deal with the file of the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in a legal and transparent way.
On Thursday, the Saudi Prosecution charged 11 persons in the killing of Khashoggi, calling for the death penalty for five persons.
