The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash affirmed that the commitment of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates to help Yemen and its people is “historic and continuous.”
In a tweet, Gargash said that Saudi-UAE program “Imdad” aims to meet the nutritional needs of 10 to 12 million Yemenis.

He explained that this program is a unique humanitarian initiative, adding to the humanitarian effort of the two countries in Yemen.
Gargash added that the need for this urgent action is understandable, stressing that the commitment of the two countries towards Yemen continues, the latest of which is this multi-sector aid initiative.
On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia and the UAE announced the launching of a $500 million initiative to address the humanitarian situation in Yemen at a joint press conference.
