Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of the Interior, today witnessed the inauguration of the Prince Nayef Center for Security Innovation and the Women’s Security Training Institute at King Fahd Security College in Riyadh.

The Minister of Interior placed the cornerstone of the Prince Nayef Center for Security Innovation. He witnessed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and King Fahd Security College to enhance cooperation in the field of scientific research. Then he saw a short film about the center, which specializes in qualifying the employees of the security authorities on the culture of creativity and innovation and the development of techniques related to security work.

Security Training Institute for women

The Minister of Interior also graced the inauguration of the Women’s Security Training Institute at the College, which is concerned with preparing and qualifying women for the requirements of implementing field security tasks.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef was also briefed about the Institute’s facilities, which were equipped with modern halls and fields for military training in martial arts, archery, for the requirements of security work.

During his field trip, the Minister of the Interior also inspected a number of classrooms and training fields.

The Director of King Fahd Security College, Major General Dr. Ali bin Abdulrahman Al-Duaij, said in his speech on this occasion that the development witnessed by the College, which made it distinguished in the level of its security training programs in various security disciplines, thanks to the availability of latest infrastructure and leadership of great potential.

He said that “specialized, advanced laboratories and modern technological means will help to keep abreast of the development of our country at all levels and to achieve the 2030 Vision of the Kingdom.”

The ceremony was attended by Prince Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed, President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Prince Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mishary, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technical Affairs, Deputy Minister of Interior Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Daoud.
