The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued a statement on Saturday warning seafarers to exercise caution in the Arabian Gulf.
According to the NCM, fresh to strong north-westerly winds, with speeds reaching 55 km per hour will cause rough seas, causing wave heights to reach between six to eight feet until 10 am on Sunday.
Poor road visibility
Authorities also warned residents to be careful on the roads, according to the official news agency WAM.
The NCM has called on drivers to take all precautions and follow the traffic rules, especially because agitated sand and dust suspensions are causing poor horizontal visibility.
In a statement, the center expected the visibility to be less than 2,000 meters at times over scattered areas due to fresh Northwesterly and wind speed was predicted to reach up to 50 km/h at times over scattered areas from 4 pm to 10 pm this evening.
