The Arab Coalition said it has intercepted and destroyed a bomb-laden drone launched by the Houthi militia toward a populated residential area in Saudi Arabia’s Asir region.

Colonel Turki al-Maliki, the Arab Coalition spokesperson, said that forces managed to intercept the drone launched by the Houthi militia toward Asir 11:45 pm local time.

The destroyed Houthi missile in Asir was the second of the night after another Houthi drone targeting the southern border city of Jazan was intercepted and shot down hours earlier.

“The Houthi terrorists continue to launch drones to carry out hostile and terrorist acts by targeting civilians and public facilities, and that none of their targets have been achieved,” al-Maliki said in an earlier statement.
